This series features 6 episodes:
- The Altar before the Mission Field
As singles, Rick and Donna were individually burdened to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost people groups of Mongolia. But when an attraction developed between them, and a pursuit of marriage was considered, Rick and Donna faced a time of testing that left them questioning how their futures might unfold. As they laid their personal desires "on the altar" entrusting their futures to God Rick and Donna were blessed by a rewarding result from God's hand. - Rick & Donna in Mongolia: Part 1
Although Rick and Donna, as singles, both shared a burden to reach Mongolia with the Gospel, Donna was the one who initially entered the country. In this episode, Donna shares about the elements she faced when she encountered this new mission field. Between experiencing sub-freezing temperatures and feeling the pressure to participate in pagan customs, Donna faced many situations where she was desperate for the Lord to bring a solution. But for every trial that surfaced, God faithfully provided a way through it. - Rick & Donna in Mongolia: Part 2
In this next chapter of Rick and Donna's story, we get additional glimpses of the nomadic life they encountered as missionaries. While in Mongolia, Rick and Donna began their family together. Their daughters, Alayna and Katy, share what life was like growing up in another country. Rick also shares about a major undertaking they began to help the people in their community an effort that gained the attention of the governor of their state! - Rick & Donna in Mongolia: Part 3
In this continuing sequence documenting the Warners' missionary journey, Rick and Donna tell about some of the most frightening and heart-wrenching experiences they had to endure while serving in Mongolia. Yet, as the Warners continued to be faithful to their calling, spiritual fruit eventually began to manifest. They began to realize the truth of Galatians 6:9, "Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." - Character Training in Mongolia
"Go to the ant, . . . consider her ways, and be wise" (Proverbs 6:6). The Bible makes it clear that, by observing God's world of nature, we can learn valuable lessons. For Rick Warner, this was a principle that greatly helped him while dealing with character flaws on the mission field. Struggling with people who lacked honesty and orderliness, Rick used examples from the world of nature to illustrate how good qualities can be developed, a method that produced fruitful results in the lives of his employees. - More Stories from Mongolia
In the episode, the Warner ladies share additional experiences they had while in Mongolia. Donna describes the effect the Gospel had on specific individuals, Katy recounts feeling alone and God's provision while away from her family, and Alayna shares about the struggle of adjusting to Western culture after living in Mongolia for 17 years. Although these changes were a challenge when the Lord called the Warner family back to America, they learned that contentment is invaluable wherever God places us, and that each season is one to be lived to the fullest.
