First and foremost? Is prayer all that important? You certainly cannot discount the great preachers! Yet in 1 Timothy 2:1 we see that "First of all, supplications, prayers, intersessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men..." What happens when every Christian goes to the Lord in humility asking God's Spirit Himself to work His very image in their own life, rather than angrily desiring judgement to come on those who are lukewarm? In fact, it is the Christian who is placed with the responsibility and awesome opportunity to pray for "all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth" as God's desire is manifested in 1 Timothy 2:4. What would happen if all Christians would truly pray for every leader from the top down?
