The brightness of the countenance is often a reflection of the condition of the soul. “Ye are the light of the world … The light of the body is the eye …” (Matthew 5:14; 6:22).

Also, spiritual maturity is related to the number of Scriptural commitments that we make and apply to our lives. In the Basic Seminar, seventeen commitments are explained, and opportunities given to make them. We encourage you to review and maintain these commitments so you can be an effective light to the world!
