Good Kids vs Godly Kids
Scripture tells us about two kings with outstanding character, but the contrast in their motives eventually brought very different results in their lives. One king sought to be good; the other sought to be Godly. One king sought to please man; the other sought to please God. It is essential for parents to make this distinction and to train their children to have the right goal in life. It is all too easy to fall into the mindset that children should look good to others, but parents must focus on raising children whose hearts and lives please the Lord.
