How to Transform Painful Memories
Scripture states that a brother who is offended is harder to be won than a walled city and their contentions are like the bars of a castle (Proverbs 18-19). Steps can be taken, however, to restore these broken relationships.
But what about those whom we love, trust, and respect who have rejected us without any offense on our part? These are the painful memories that must be transformed.
We can transform them by seeing them from the perspective that God has called us to do impossible works and that God will often remove those who are closest to us so that we are positioned to do the impossible. By understanding this important perspective, we are able to transform these painful memories into powerful reminders of God's purposes for our lives.
